IX.SPOTS - MORE THAN EYE-CATCHING LUMINAIRES
It is not only small boxes standing close together, many shelf levels and carelessness that lead to the wrong goods being picked. Shelf compartments are also sometimes not precisely identifiable or easily confused with neighbouring compartments. All this leads to errors, slows down the picking process and results in complaints and customer dissatisfaction.
To make the picking process easier for the warehouse staff and to avoid these sources of error, iX-tech has developed the ix.spots, which clearly indicate the correct shelves from a distance and illuminate storage locations over their entire surface.
How does it work?
Whether for order-picking racks in the warehouse, production lines with conveyor sections or pallet racks, the implementation is just as versatile as it is simple.
First, each storage location of a picking zone is equipped with an LED spotlight module. This controls up to 80 spotlights, which are placed at intervals of 10 to 150 cm across the entire racking section, as required. Longer distances are also possible using extension cables.
First, the order picker starts the picking process. With the help of eye-catching lights, he is now guided sequentially through the picking process. The respective removal compartment with the next item to be picked is completely illuminated thanks to LED spotlights. Shelf levels are thus unmistakably identified and clearly displayed.
In addition to various RGB colours, different modes such as flashing or colour change are also possible.
The entire system can be easily combined with S1, S2 – or the ATOP series and has an adjustable power of up to 9W.
There is also a solution for smaller shelves. The ix.spot minis achieve the same effect with lower power (up to 3W) and can also be installed in narrow shelf levels without any problems.
