Stand-Alone solution

The automation of processes is increasingly coming into focus with the term “Industry 4.0”.

Assistance systems are becoming more and more important, whether for quality control, supporting assembly activities with a wide range of products or training employees. However, large-scale automation solutions are often too costly and not feasible due to too many variants or too small a quantity. That is why iX-tech GmbH has set itself the task of automating the assembly process simply with the help of an intelligent pick-by-light system – all at a fraction of the usual market price.

Our work2light technology is a compact, robust, flexible and modular system and can be used in almost all production and assembly situations where material has to be manually removed from intermediate storage and correctly assembled.

How does it work?

The basic solution can be implemented completely independently in your assembly process.

Our ix.net control module contains an integrated process control that does not require a connection to an ERP system, PC, network or anything else. The stand-alone solution is controlled via barcode navigation and can record up to 30 different assembly sequences. A sequence can contain up to 600 process steps.

A pick-by-light module with multicolour LED is attached to each storage compartment. The employee is thus guided through the work sequence in a completely light-controlled manner. Confirmation or cancellation of an individual work step is done with the help of a separate button or on the pick-by-light module itself.

All taught-in sequences can be easily and individually adapted at any time. With our innovative solution, you can map both the removal and the refilling process, as well as introduce a 100% final inspection.

Your assembly process is thus optimised at low cost and effort, and quality standards are increased at the same time.

In addition to the possibilities offered by work2light as a basic solution, you can connect work2light PRO as a complete cross-system solution directly to your merchandise management or warehouse management system. This enables you to record work steps in your database in real time. In addition, you have the advantage of effortlessly attaching components such as a touch monitor for the output of information, torque screwdrivers, a PLC control system and test systems of all kinds.

Tailor-made and individual, we develop a concept with specifications and requirements based on your requirements.
Based on this, we use our hardware in different ways and design process sequences tailored to your needs. The modular structure of software and hardware enables us to optimise your current processes. And all this without having to bring in our own warehouse management software or duplicate data maintenance.

Our aim is to greatly increase process reliability through digitalisation while at the same time accelerating processes.

How does it work?

The work2light PRO process control guides the employee sequentially through any number of assembly processes with the help of the pick-by-light modules at each storage location, as well as the display of assembly information on a central terminal.

Confirmation or cancellation of an individual work step is done with the help of the terminal or on the pick-by-light module itself. All required information is exchanged in real time with the connected material flow or warehouse management system.

In this variant, the customer is free to teach the processes within the ix.light server via an editor interface or with the control barcodes.
It is also possible to execute the processes order-related through a direct or indirect communication with the ERP system without causing a double data maintenance.

LINE PRODUCTION

In the age of Industry 4.0, the demands on a digital company are constantly becoming more dynamic, reaction times must be made shorter and quality requirements are permanently increasing.

An MES system offers optimal support and becomes a key position in your company.
It bundles all important information. Processes and procedures are coordinated with each other and interlock smoothly – thus a production-supporting system becomes a data hub and generates optimal control.

One link is our work-line engine, which offers a multitude of possible applications. The work-line engine supports and optimises your line production. Due to its flexibility, it can be individually adapted to meet your requirements. Existing gaps in the production processes can thus be closed.

How does it work

In addition to individual workstations, the workline-engine also enables our customers to optimise line production. No matter whether assembly or production lines.

With our self-developed software, your production line can be divided into zones. Individual work areas can be easily defined. An editor allows you to easily configure the line structure and the processing sequence. The line control can be set in various production modes (one-piece flow, batch mode, etc.).

Orders can be prioritised, sorted and filtered, and a batch size can be defined for each assembly variant. Existing ERP, inspection and tooling systems can be integrated effortlessly.

Each zone is individually equipped with pick2light modules, an automatic intervention control, terminal or similar. Thus, the employees are guided through the process by information on the input monitor, as well as by the pick2light modules at each storage location. The exact intervention can be checked by means of a light grid and the removal can be acknowledged without further intervention.

In addition, it is possible to process several orders in parallel and to output the performance via an ANDON board. Parts management and material management are also integrated in the engine.

Kan-Ban processes can be mapped without any problems. The same applies to special parts storage, the possibility of rejecting and recalling in the event of problems.
